About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programme Lead to join our team at Camphill Village Trust. As a Programme Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff and volunteers in delivering the strategic aims of our social farm/garden.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership
- Lead, develop, and motivate a team of staff and volunteers to deliver the strategic aims of the social farm/garden.
- Recruit, coordinate roles and responsibilities, undertake supervisions and appraisals in accordance with company policy.
- Programme Development
- Assist with the planning, preparation, and delivery of AQA accredited structured programme of Green Care activities, which are inclusive of individual goals and support needs.
- Review the progress and development of each individual learner, gather evidence to demonstrate progression, whilst recognising achievements and identifying new/individual goals and objectives.
- Horticultural Management
- Manage the horticultural land in accordance with organic principles.
- Fulfil animal husbandry duties as necessary, as and when required.
- Communication and Reporting
- Ensure all team members work in accordance with policy, procedures, practices, and controls.
- Ensure that the correct and appropriate lines of communication are followed in relation to recording and reporting, having particular regard for the Trust's health and safety requirements.
- Marketing and Promotion
- Support with the marketing and promotion of the service to local authorities, health care agencies, private payers, and community-based organisations.
- Record Keeping and Reporting
- Keep all appropriate records and information in an orderly manner and on a timely basis.
- Provide any information and documentation required and prepare regular reports on the workshop activities.
- Community Engagement
- Engage in, help plan, and deliver Community events such as cultural celebrations, festivals, meals, and public open days.
Requirements
- A recognised qualification in either Horticulture and/or Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent, or a willingness and ability to achieve both within an agreed period.
- Full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle during working time.
- Qualifications in garden machinery operations.
