Job Title: Growing and Horticulture Programme Lead
Job Summary:
The Camphill Village Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our Growing and Horticulture Programme. As the Programme Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the garden, leading a team of staff and volunteers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of staff and volunteers in delivering the strategic aims of the social farm/garden.
- Recruit, coordinate, and supervise staff and volunteers, ensuring effective team management and development.
- Assist with the planning, preparation, and delivery of AQA accredited structured programmes of Green Care activities.
- Review progress and development of each individual learner, gathering evidence to demonstrate progression and recognizing achievements.
- Design and implement a range of Green Care activities, which can be delivered to the people we support.
- Manage the horticultural land in accordance with organic principles.
- Ensure all team members work in accordance with policy, procedures, practices, and controls.
- Undertake other such tasks as required individually or with others to develop and maintain the high quality of service required to fulfill the vision of the social farm/garden.
Requirements:
- A recognised qualification in either Horticulture and/or Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Full and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle during working time.
- Qualifications in garden machinery operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and lead a team of staff and volunteers.
- Self-motivated, dynamic, and able to work with a high level of autonomy and without closed supervision.
- Good organisational skills and proven ability to manage own time and workload.
- Kind and approachable with excellent listening skills, tact, and keenness to offer support.
