Job Overview

Job Title: Customer Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Support Specialist to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to customers and internal stakeholders with their registration and reporting systems, results queries, suite creation and amendments, and testing limits.
  • Report subcontract results as required.
  • Deliver onsite and online training to customers on data systems and provide ongoing support to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Respond to and resolve telephone queries from customers and other external agents.
  • Assist the retail team with queries related to their results and suites.
  • Liaise with the commercial team to understand customer requirements and preferences.

Requirements:

  • Essential:
    • Laboratory experience with food testing.
    • Strong IT skills.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience of food testing in a laboratory environment.
    • Knowledge of the food manufacturing industry.
    • Experience of dealing with customers.
    • Comfortable communicating with customers via telephone, webchats, or face-to-face interactions.
