Position Overview

Join Barclays as a Cloud Security Specialist, where you will lead the transformation of our security framework, driving technological advancements and operational excellence. Your role will involve leveraging state-of-the-art technology to enhance our digital services, ensuring exceptional experiences for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of new security technologies within the organization, including cloud access security brokers (CASBs), cloud data loss prevention (DLP) solutions, and cloud encryption technologies, to safeguard our cloud environments through seamless integration.
  • Develop and implement robust security administration processes across all platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational security and regulatory standards.
  • Deploy cloud security monitoring solutions to identify and alert on potential security threats and irregularities.
  • Carry out incident investigations related to cloud security to determine root causes and implement corrective actions swiftly to minimize impact and restore normal operations.
  • Identify, analyze, and integrate emerging cloud security technologies and solutions to mitigate threats and strengthen the organization’s cloud security posture.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and reports for senior stakeholders regarding cloud security architecture, policies, procedures, and incidents.
  • Collaborate with the cloud operations team to manage the organization’s cloud security infrastructure, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection controls, to secure cloud resources from unauthorized access and data breaches.

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of organizational functions to contribute to the achievement of business objectives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to stay informed about business activities and strategies.
  • Develop innovative solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
  • Incorporate findings from extensive research into problem-solving processes.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve key business objectives, utilizing influencing and negotiation skills.
