Position Overview

Join Barclays as a Cloud Security Specialist, where you will lead the advancement of our digital security framework, driving innovation and operational excellence. You will leverage state-of-the-art technology to enhance our digital services, ensuring exceptional experiences for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of emerging security technologies within the organization, including cloud access security brokers (CASBs), cloud data loss prevention (DLP) solutions, and cloud encryption methods, to fortify our cloud environments through seamless integration.
  • Develop and execute robust security administration processes across all platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational security and regulatory standards.
  • Implement cloud security monitoring systems to identify and alert on potential security threats and irregularities.
  • Lead incident investigations related to cloud security, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions swiftly to minimize impact and restore normal operations.
  • Identify, analyze, and integrate cutting-edge cloud security technologies and solutions to mitigate threats and enhance the organization's cloud security posture.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation and reports for senior stakeholders regarding cloud security architecture, policies, procedures, and incidents.
  • Collaborate with the cloud operations team to oversee the organization's cloud security infrastructure, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection controls, to safeguard cloud resources from unauthorized access and data breaches.

  • Provide guidance to key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through thorough assessments, supporting the control and governance agenda.
  • Exhibit leadership and accountability for managing risks and enhancing controls related to your team's responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of organizational functions to contribute to achieving business objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to stay informed about business activities and strategies.
  • Develop solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives. In-depth analysis and interpretative thinking will be essential to define challenges and create innovative solutions.
  • Incorporate the outcomes of extensive research into problem-solving processes.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve key business objectives, utilizing influencing and negotiation skills to secure desired outcomes.
