Role Overview: This is a fixed-term position for 6 months.

The primary objective of this role is to assist the Supply Chain Inbound Optimization Team with administrative and supplier-facing responsibilities, including managing the Rescheduling Process, conducting Inbound Profile assessments, overseeing Safety Stock Management, and facilitating Internal Stock Transfers. Reporting to the Senior Inbound Optimization Manager, you will engage in various projects aimed at achieving Team and Business KPIs. You will work closely with other departments, support functions, and management teams from Ocado, Morrisons, and third parties to uphold and enhance the high standards of the central planning team, while also being encouraged to develop new skills and practices in this dynamic environment.

Your Responsibilities:

This role provides ongoing support to the Supply Chain Inbound Optimization Team, concentrating on tasks such as managing Daily Inbound Smoothing, Purchase Order Rescheduling, adjusting safety stock parameters, and facilitating internal stock transfers. Key responsibilities include collaborating with CFCs, suppliers, hauliers, and third parties to optimize inbound delivery profiles, and supporting essential stock-holding initiatives through reporting and action ownership. The position also involves developing and implementing new supply chain processes, working both independently and collaboratively, and promoting supply chain enhancements across the organization. Additionally, the role encompasses responsibilities for health and safety practices, ensuring compliance with Ocado policies, conducting risk assessments, maintaining equipment, and investigating incidents to prevent recurrence. Opportunities to develop skills in project support, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and cost-saving initiatives are available, and the role may evolve as the business landscape changes.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and coordination skills with both internal and external stakeholders, be proficient in IT with a strong command of Microsoft Office, and have some data analysis and reporting capabilities. A solid understanding of supply chain principles, along with strong organizational and time management skills, is essential. A proactive, hands-on approach is necessary, and the ability to work effectively within a team is crucial. Preferred qualifications include experience in supply chain and FMCG environments, operational warehouse/logistics experience, and familiarity with the e-commerce sector. Candidates should excel in teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and productivity. A strong customer focus, technical expertise, business awareness, adaptability, analytical thinking, and the ability to persuade and influence stakeholders are highly valued.
