In response to the expanding opportunities in Wales and the South-West, we are seeking to recruit a Lead Mechanical and Electrical Cost Consultant with extensive experience in M&E systems. This role is pivotal in enhancing our M&E cost management team in the region. Importantly, this position offers you the chance to develop and potentially lead our MEP services in Wales, collaborating with peers across the organization to deliver top-tier service.

As a Lead Mechanical and Electrical Cost Consultant, your responsibilities will encompass delivering high-quality work while adhering to ethical standards. You will have the opportunity to spearhead our M&E service offerings, supported by our Head of Cost Management and National Head of M&E services. You will be part of projects that are among the UK's most prestigious, spanning various sectors such as infrastructure, education, corporate real estate, retail, residential, aviation, and healthcare. Additionally, you will foster long-term, sustainable relationships with key clients and act as a mentor for your colleagues' professional growth.

Key Qualifications:

A proactive and positive team member, eager to collaborate closely with both immediate and extended teams. A commitment to maintaining high standards in service delivery and client engagement. Proven track record in delivering exemplary service. Strong team management skills, fostering a culture of growth and development. Experience or interest in business development activities to enhance client engagement and service offerings. Technical leadership capabilities, providing specialized M&E advice and participating in training initiatives. Comprehensive knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems and their associated costs. Demonstrated success in MEP cost management services. Ability to guide clients on MEP cost drivers, project expenses, and value engineering. Expertise in feasibility studies, cost planning, procurement advice, tender documentation, and post-contract services. Familiarity with various project procurement methods. Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience in client-facing roles and collaboration within a dynamic team. Excellent communication skills.

Core Responsibilities:

Comprehensive quantity surveying and cost management duties. Provision of pre and post-contract advisory services. Ensuring the highest quality of service delivery to clients. Offering expert MEP cost advice on complex projects across diverse sectors. Mentoring and supporting junior staff members.
