Job Summary

Trevett Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Building Services Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical systems and equipment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Coordination: Coordinate with Contract Managers to ensure that all electrical work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Plant Maintenance: Conduct regular plant checks and ensure that all associated paperwork is completed and reviewed by Lead and Supervisor to identify any faults or issues.
  • Shift Handover: Provide relevant information to shift leads for smooth handovers, ensuring that incoming shifts have all necessary details for the day's tasks.
  • Fault Diagnosis and Rectification: Diagnose and rectify faults in electrical systems, either through self-delivery or by liaising with external contractors to provide a prompt and efficient service.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaise with customers on site to ensure that their needs are met to a satisfactory standard.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to and rectify site emergencies, primarily during shift work hours but occasionally outside of core hours.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to site mechanical equipment, including pumps and valves, and complete documentation and maintenance records as directed.
  • Spares and Materials Management: Ensure that suitable spares and materials are always available for both planned and unplanned maintenance, and maintain tidy storerooms and stock management.
  • Heating and Ventilation Systems: Diagnose faults on heating and ventilation systems, complete emergency lighting tests, and record results.
Requirements
  • Flexibility and Teamwork: Demonstrate a flexible approach to work and attendance, with a commitment to work as a team and individually as tasks require.
  • Assistance and Support: Assist current electrical works as directed by the Operations Manager or Extra Works Manager.
  • Issue Escalation: Recognize and escalate possible issues that may result in further damage, such as leaks, loss of power, fire risks, and exposure to H&S non-compliance.
  • Qualifications and Memberships: Actively keep all relevant qualifications and memberships up to date.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure and comply with company and statutory requirements regarding health, safety, fire, and hygiene documents, and file them away accordingly.
  • Company Rules and Regulations: Comply with company rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook.
  • Reasonable Management Requests: Carry out any other reasonable management requests.
  • Employee and Sub-Contractor Relationships: Establish good working relationships with employees and sub-contractors.
