Practice Supervisor

Oxfordshire County Council is embarking on an ambitious transformation programme, Delivering the Future Together, to revolutionize the way we deliver social care in Oxfordshire. We're seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Practice Supervisor - Safeguarding Expert.
The RoleThis is an Oxfordshire-wide position, requiring collaboration across adult social care and partner agencies to support and promote robust safeguarding interventions. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the adult safeguarding arena, including S42 enquiries, Making Safeguarding Personal, and the Care Act 2014.
Key Responsibilities- Empower individuals through effective communication, even in challenging situations.
- Make sound decisions while working within risk enablement.
- Manage complex, ever-changing priorities in a pressurized environment.
- Take responsibility, demonstrate flexibility, and adopt a proactive approach to collaborative working.
- Advocate for equality and integrity, utilizing strong communication skills to achieve the best outcomes.
- Adhere to the professional standards of Social Work England.
- Provide line management or supervisory experience in a statutory setting.
- Up to 33 days' holiday per annum, plus bank holidays, with the option to 'buy' additional days.
- Membership of the Local Government contributory pension scheme, with an employer's contribution of up to 19.9%.
- A relocation package of up to £8,000 to cover reimbursement of expenses for newly appointed employees.
