Job Title: Accountancy Practice Supervisor

About the Role:

The Practice Manager will oversee the daily administrative and operational functions of the firm, ensuring smooth operations, compliance with regulations, and support for business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Office Management:
  • Oversee daily operations, including administrative functions and office logistics
  • Manage change and project initiatives
  • Ensure a professional and efficient office environment
  • Handle office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
  • Lead staff development and training programmes
Financial Management:
  • Oversee billing, revenue control, and debt recovery
  • Prepare and manage the firm's budget in collaboration with the Directors
  • Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to management
Operations and Compliance:
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including SRA standards
  • Oversee case management systems and IT operations
  • Manage documentation and liaise with external IT support
Marketing and Business Development:
  • Support marketing efforts, including managing social media accounts and website updates
  • Assist with organising events, seminars, and networking activities
  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities
  • Contribute to strategic business planning

Requirements:

Relevant experience in a legal environment

Strong professionalism and commercial acumen

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Highly organised with a proactive and results-oriented approach

Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external organisations

Willingness to develop skills, including negotiation
