Position: Security Architecture Consultant

Location: London

Role Summary:

The Security Architecture Review team plays a crucial role in assessing the security framework of new systems and significant modifications to existing systems, working closely with Principal Security Architects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Security Architecture engagements with Architecture Review Boards.
  • Conduct security assessments of third-party and supply chain partners.

Required Technical Knowledge:

  • Proven experience in technical engineering or information security roles, with a preference for security architecture.
  • Familiarity with DORA regulations and experience in regulatory projects is advantageous.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and roles in Security Architecture/Solution Architecture.
  • Expertise in Cyber Security Reviews, Security Architecture Reviews, or Assurance reviews.
  • Experience in threat modeling and design patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement security controls in distributed systems, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Comprehensive understanding of contemporary security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of common and emerging vulnerabilities across various application types (web applications, thick clients, APIs, etc.).
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25, NIST/CSC, CIS, etc.
  • Applied knowledge of authentication, access control, encryption, cloud security, operating system security, network security, and database security.

Industry Expertise:

  • Preferred experience in the financial services or technology sectors.
  • Experience in heavily regulated environments is preferred.

Must exhibit a collaborative work style, ensuring stakeholder engagement in decision-making processes. Adaptability and innovative approaches to challenges are essential for achieving objectives.
