We are seeking a skilled Software Solutions Architect to become an integral part of our IT Department at Coleg Cambria. This position is crucial within the Information Technology Team.
The primary focus of this role is to lead the design and implementation of software applications and scripting solutions tailored to meet the varied requirements of the institution. The Architect will facilitate the seamless integration and transfer of data across various platforms utilizing suitable scripting and database technologies. Furthermore, this role will engage in the planning, execution, management, and support of both new and existing systems provided by external vendors. Additionally, collaboration with different departments will be essential to develop innovative scripting, automation, and integration of multiple systems aimed at enhancing or establishing new processes that contribute to improved functionality and efficiency, aligning with the institution's commitment to digital advancement.
Key Qualifications
Ability to manage personal workload effectively and utilize the developer helpdesk to address support inquiries from faculty and students Experience in developing and overseeing data transfers between internal systems and external platforms through secure and reliable methods Proficiency in systems development using programming and development expertise in Powershell and .Net to ensure efficient, secure, and precise data operations Capability to produce detailed documentation for all system specifications and developments undertaken, along with creating training materials to support staff in using designated systems Responsible for crafting and delivering training resources and operational guidelines for applications and systems developed in this role Active participation in the College's management team to support the achievement of the College's strategic objectivesProficiency in the Welsh language is preferred for this role.
