About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Pharmacist to lead our medicines optimisation efforts in South East London. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the leadership of medicines optimisation plans and financial accountability for the prescribing budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement medicines optimisation strategies to drive high-value medicines use within our partnerships, including public health, local council, voluntary sector, and primary care.
  • Build and maintain excellent partnerships with stakeholders, including Primary Care Networks, GP practices, GP Federation, community services, community pharmacy, and the SEL Pharmacy Alliance.
  • Work closely with the ICB Chief Pharmacist, Associate Chief Pharmacists, Consultant Pharmacists, and colleagues to ensure effective leadership and coordination of medicines optimisation efforts.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on medicines optimisation to support the development of effective prescribing practices.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective use of medicines.
