About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Lead Pharmacist - Cancer Services at St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exceptional career opportunity for a senior pharmacist looking to further advance their career and develop leadership, clinical, and prescribing skills within Cancer services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Senior Pharmacist for Cancer Services, including independent prescribing and deputizing for the Team Leader.
  • Represent the team within the organization and across interfaces.
  • Work as an expert pharmacist for cancer services, contributing to advanced decision-making and service improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and implement services designed to improve pharmaceutical care for patients and extend the boundaries of clinical practice.
  • Identify and support the facilitation of Clinical Improvement Projects (CIPs) within the relevant directorate and participate in financial reporting and drug budget management.
  • Participate in clinical audit, research, risk management, and clinical guideline development.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Substantial post-registration experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner, including experience managing patients in a relevant specialty.
  • Experience in supporting directorate activity, including drug expenditure reporting, formulary management, and DTC applications.
  • Experience of working within a role involving multidisciplinary communication and pharmacist-coordinated discharge medication.
  • Registered as an Independent Non-medical Prescriber.
