Location: Kidderminster

Compensation: Up to £45,000 + vehicle allowance

This role encompasses both office responsibilities in Kidderminster and field operations across the UK.


A reputable engineering firm is seeking an Industrial Project and Technical Specialist to oversee projects from inception to final delivery.

This position is perfect for individuals eager to lead industrial projects from the initial order phase through to completion.

Role Objectives – Industrial Project and Technical Specialist

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects that involve design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning processes.
  • Conduct site assessments to gather essential information, specifications, and measurements pertinent to the project. Develop Method Statements and risk assessments related to project repair and installation.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of site and manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to Quality, Cost, and Delivery timelines.
  • Analyze material usage on contracts to ensure that supplies are available in accordance with contractual obligations, while also procuring materials that align with project specifications, quantities, and pricing, thereby minimizing waste through effective design.
Candidate Profile – Industrial Project and Technical Specialist

The ideal candidate should possess a background in the Industrial Engineering sector, specifically in a Project and Technical capacity.

Essential skills, qualifications, and experience include:

  • Demonstrated project and technical expertise, preferably within similar-sized SMEs or larger entities.
  • Likely to have experience as a Project and Technical Specialist or equivalent within an engineering fabrication environment in the West Midlands, with a focus on equipment fitting and servicing.
  • A solid mechanical understanding and comprehensive knowledge of the manufacturing industry, capable of engaging knowledgeably with both staff and prospective clients.
  • Familiarity with site services, able to interact with customers on-site while also providing guidance from the office.
