About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. As a Senior Paediatric Physiotherapy Specialist, you will play a key role in providing a high-quality, comprehensive, and proactive clinical physiotherapy service for children and young people (0 to 19) referred to our specialist children's physiotherapy service.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide neurological and neurodevelopmental therapy assessment, intervention, and review for children and young people.
- Manage a complex caseload of clients with a variety of developmental disabilities.
- Provide clinical supervision and management to a small number of staff members.
- Work within a variety of care pathways, including special schools, developmental clinics for under-fives, CPIPSE clinics, and community settings.
- Assess and treat all ages individually or in a group.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy.
- HCPC Registration (Health Professionals Council).
- Evidence of CPD (Continuous Professional Development).
- Safeguarding/Child Protection.
- Paediatric manual handling.
- Post-registration paediatric training.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Member of APCP (Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists).
- Member of CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy).
- Leadership training.
- Student supervisors course.
- Working at specialist level as demonstrated by ongoing CPD, including M-level accredited courses attended and clinical experience gained.
- Training in Bobath, Orthotics, Aquatic Therapy, DCD, sensory integration.
