About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialist Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert respiratory physiotherapy services to children and young adults with complex respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality physiotherapy assessments and treatments, including the review of treatment programmes for long-term ventilation patients and those with chronic respiratory conditions.
- Initiate and adjust treatment plans, including clinically reasoned clear escalation and weaning plans.
- Develop and deliver education and training to patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals on respiratory physiotherapy techniques and devices.
- Collaborate with the inpatient respiratory physiotherapy team to provide seamless care and support to patients.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives, including audits and data collection.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in paediatric respiratory physiotherapy, including experience in long-term ventilation and chronic respiratory conditions. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
