Job Title: Accounts Receivable Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that invoices are issued in an accurate and timely manner, managing the prompt and full receipt of monies due, and reconciling transactions, invoices, deductions, and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using the Oracle ERP system to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Preparing and distributing credit exposure reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Conducting credit assessments and complying with credit risk policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Authorizing credit by following policy and appropriate approval.
  • Reviewing and managing KYC (Know Your Customer) forms.
  • Ensuring the ERP system has accurate customer information, including real-time credit limits.
  • Managing customer portfolios on D&B portal, escalating changes to key stakeholders.
  • Liaising with customers and resolving queries in an effective and timely manner.
  • Carrying out customer account reconciliations.
  • General ledger maintenance activities.
  • Providing ad-hoc financial reporting as requested by management.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of working within Accounts Receivable, Sales Ledger, Credit Control, and Credit Management.
  • Proven track record of successfully chasing down aged debt.
  • Experience of managing a customer portfolio using a rating agency.
  • Experience in allocating cash and working with a general ledger.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs with strong Excel skills.
  • Previous use of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
