Position Overview

Are you a Qualified IT Educator?

We are currently seeking a dedicated IT Teacher to work within a Specialist Provision focused on students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Role: IT Teacher

Location: Birmingham B36

Salary: £140 - £240 per day (Fully Qualified teachers paid to scale)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging IT lessons tailored for students with SEND.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and self-confidence.
  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and their families.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide comprehensive assistance for students.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain informed about best practices in SEND education.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent certification.
  • Experience in teaching IT, preferably in a SEND context.
  • Strong understanding of SEND and effective strategies for supporting diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students across various abilities.
