About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. As a SENCO, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all students, particularly those with special educational needs, receive the support and accommodations they require to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement inclusive education strategies to promote student learning and progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students with special needs.
  • Lead and manage the school's special educational needs provision, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Provide professional development and training for staff on inclusive education practices and special needs support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum and assessment strategies.
Requirements
  • Qualified teacher status with a strong background in special educational needs.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing special educational needs provision in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines related to special educational needs.
  • Ability to analyze data and evaluate the effectiveness of special educational needs provision.
