Overview of the Role:

The Strategy team collaborates closely with the Group CEO, Group Executive Committee, and plc Board to shape and enhance Aviva's overarching strategy. Our team comprises seasoned strategy professionals with backgrounds in leading consulting firms, corporate strategy roles in other prestigious companies, and within Aviva itself.

The Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives plays a pivotal role within the team, overseeing strategy projects and workstreams while driving the analytical groundwork that informs the team's strategic insights and recommendations. This position adds significant value to Aviva by facilitating informed management decision-making on critical business challenges.

Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience in corporate strategy within a consultancy, with a solid grasp of business strategy principles and the ability to translate these into commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a strong aptitude for structuring and framing solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with robust quantitative analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in project management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Sound knowledge of the financial services sector.
