About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to join I Love My Job Ltd, a rapidly growing leader in the gifting industry. This dynamic, multi-channel business spans retail stores, e-commerce platforms, and international B2B wholesale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development Critical Path Management: Lead and manage the product development critical path from initial sign-off to production, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Brand Strategy and Alignment: Collaborate with the Head of Sourcing to define where new products fit within the existing range and assign them to the appropriate brand.
  • White-Label Product Development: Manage the design and production of white-label product ranges for wholesale customers, adhering to their brand guidelines.
  • Product Positioning and Marketing: Identify unique selling points (USPs) for each product, ensuring these are reflected in packaging design, naming, and product descriptions.
  • International Market Expansion: Manage translation processes for international markets, ensuring all packaging is correctly localised.
  • Packaging Artwork Approval: Approve all packaging artwork, including descriptions, copy, photography, and technical/legal information.
  • Digital Asset Creation: Coordinate digital asset creation (images, content, bullet points) to ensure products are well-represented online.
  • Factory Liaison and Progress Monitoring: Liaise with factories and stakeholders to monitor critical path progress.
  • Product Sample Management: Manage the product sample process.
  • Brand Identity and Visual Style: Work with the Head of Design to maintain and evolve own brand identities, including packaging design, colour schemes, and overall visual style.
  • Marketing and Sell-in Materials: Collaborate with account managers to understand customer needs and develop marketing and sell-in materials for the wholesale team, including technical information.
  • Product Marketing and Content Development: Ensure new products are effectively marketed in the wholesale catalogue and develop key selling points and content for various marketing channels.
Requirements
  • Strong Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering results.
  • Product Marketing and Copywriting Experience: Experience in product marketing and copywriting, particularly for packaging and instruction manuals.
  • Attention to Detail and Task Management: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
