Job Summary

Unical Aviation Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Business Development to join our team. As a key member of our sales and marketing department, you will be responsible for driving business growth and increasing our presence in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines, leasing companies, MROs, and other key stakeholders in the aviation industry.
  • Represent Unical at Industry Events: Attend and represent Unical at customer meetings, industry conferences, and marketing events across multiple regions.
  • Identify Market Trends: Analyze market trends and develop strategies to capture new business opportunities.
  • Promote Unical's Values: Effectively communicate Unical's values and success stories to customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide Pre-Trip Agendas and Post-Trip Reports: Develop and submit pre-trip agendas and post-trip reports to ensure seamless communication and project management.
  • Communicate Customer Opportunities: Share customer opportunities, special developments, and feedback with the appropriate Unical personnel.
  • Recommend Marketable Services and Products: Identify and recommend marketable services and products tailored to our customers' needs.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Teams: Work closely with sales and product teams to ensure effective communication of Unical's services and products to potential customers.
  • Manage Project Scope, Schedule, and Budget: Actively manage project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and Contract Negotiations: Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 Years of Progressive Account Management Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in account management, including as an Account Manager.
  • 10 Years of Experience in the Aviation Industry: 10 years of experience in the aviation industry in a sales/customer-facing role.
  • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote).
  • 50%+ Travel Required: Willingness to travel 50% or more of the time to support regional sales goals.
  • Ability to Multi-Task and Work Under Pressure: Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with accuracy.
  • Ability to Demonstrate Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, and Attention to Detail: Ability to demonstrate logical reasoning, decision making, and attention to detail.
  • Proven Critical Thinking Skills: Proven critical thinking skills within a diverse workforce and team environment.
  • Ability to Handle Multiple Projects Concurrently: Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and may be interrupted frequently to meet the needs and requests of other departments or team members.
  • Excellent Organizational and Time Management Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Related Field: Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
Travel and Language Requirements
  • Will be Required to Travel Nationally and Internationally: Will be required to travel both nationally and internationally as needed to support regional sales goals.
  • Ability to Read, Write, Speak, and Understand English: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
