About the Role

As a key member of the Barrett Steel Limited team, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Administrator to support the day-to-day activities of our warehouse. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, maintaining high standards of Health & Safety, Quality, and 5S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient delivery processes.
  • Create and manage documentation to support production processes, including load plans and production schedules.
  • Act as a liaison between Operations and Sales teams to ensure effective execution of customer orders, delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the end-to-end invoicing process, monitoring costs to maintain Gross Profit targets.
  • Conduct daily checks on productivity, using data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Update and maintain load information with transport teams based on customer interactions.
  • Assist with supplier deliveries to ensure a smooth flow of goods throughout the day.
  • Investigate any discrepancies in goods received.
  • Process all goods receipt documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to steel processing.
  • Contribute to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including cut confirmation.
