Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Bessacarr. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism to lead valued and fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the individuals we support lead valued and fulfilling lives, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Support individuals to reach their potential and achieve their goals, whether it's going to work, doing household jobs, or enjoying their favorite hobby.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement personalized support plans, ensuring the needs of each individual are met.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals, promoting their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting a sense of community and belonging among colleagues and individuals we support.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities and autism is desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals and colleagues.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including some weekends and bank holidays.
  • A commitment to promoting independence, well-being, and inclusion among individuals with learning disabilities and autism.
