Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team in supporting young adults aged 18+ who are deaf or hard of hearing. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized care and support to residents, assisting with daily living activities, meal planning, and social engagement.
  • Facilitate communication using British Sign Language (BSL) or other appropriate methods.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with families, professionals, and the resident.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for residents, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for working with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to learn BSL.
  • Experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel with residents.
