Job Title: Residential Support Worker - Deaf Services Ponderosa

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Residential Support Worker to join our team within one of our residential homes based in Halifax/Doncaster. The successful candidate will provide support and care to young adults between the ages of 18+ who are either profoundly deaf, have significant hearing loss, and/or complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and care to each individual, including travel with residents, care planning, meal planning, and organizing social activities.
  • Maintain the home and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a high-quality service.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a driving license and have a willingness to learn British Sign Language (BSL).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents who are deaf or have hearing loss.
  • Flexibility to work a full-time shift pattern, including sleep-ins.
