Job Title: Residential Support Worker

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our Residential Team in Doncaster. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children aged 5-18 with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Emotional Trauma, and Challenging Behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with other professionals to ensure each young person's needs are met and their goals are achieved.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with young people, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure a safe and secure living environment.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including incident reports, medication administration records, and logbooks, as per the individual home's requirements.
  • Organize and participate in recreational and educational activities that promote social skills, personal growth, and community involvement.
  • Support and guide young people in managing their emotions and behaviours.
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience in a care setting with children in the UK.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to engage with residents.
  • Relevant qualification in Childcare or Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 3).
