Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Dove Adolescent Services Ltd. As a Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a homely environment that promotes the well-being and safety of young people.
  • Plan, organize, and participate in activities that encourage the development of individual interests and attitudes.
  • Assess individual needs and contribute to care and risk plans to ensure the safeguarding and protection of young people.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people, promoting trust and confidence.
  • Manage behavior positively and assertively, working in line with specified care and risk management plans.
  • Consult with young people to promote healthy lifestyles and develop positive networks with adults and peer groups.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and review of packages of care through team meetings and supervisions.
  • Attend and advocate for young people in child care reviews as necessary.
Requirements
  • Understanding and commitment to the role, which is 24/7, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable is essential.
  • Ability to work on own initiative to a high level of accuracy, maintaining clear and neat records.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive team player attitude.
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level.
  • Ability to complete daily records to meet statutory and policy requirements.
  • Empathetic nature and good oral and written communication skills in a variety of contexts.
  • Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people.
