Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable adults across the borough, enabling them to live independently and access local community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal and practical support to vulnerable adults, enabling them to remain in their own homes and access local community resources.
  • Complete basic movement and handling risk assessments and initial visits for individuals starting with the service.
  • Have an awareness of and follow support plans, risk assessments, and moving and handling assessments to support vulnerable adults in achieving their goals and outcomes.
  • Support individuals at times when they need it, safeguarding them by reporting concerns of risk or if their condition or situation alters.
  • Undertake all duties and responsibilities to meet regulations and standards as set out in the Care Quality Commission standards and Care Act, striving for excellence at all times.

Requirements:

  • A full driving license and transport to travel throughout the borough.
  • A willingness to work towards QCF level 2 in Social Care.
  • Ability to converse easily with customers, providing advice and guidance in accurate spoken English.
