Overview of the Relief Support Practitioner Role

As a Relief Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing essential assistance to our dedicated teams and the individuals we serve. This position is designed to fill in during both planned and unplanned absences, ensuring continuity of care. We are currently seeking Relief Support Practitioners to join our Relief Pool.

Available Shifts

Sense Scotland operates established teams providing support on a 24/7 basis. As a Relief Support Practitioner, you have the flexibility to work across various locations or choose to focus on areas that are convenient for you.

You will have the opportunity to communicate your availability and preferences to our management team, who will consider your strengths and interests when planning shifts. Additionally, we welcome last-minute availability, as even short shifts can significantly impact the lives of those we support. Examples of available shifts include:

  • Morning shifts (07:30–14:30) assisting individuals with daily activities such as shopping or dining out.
  • Afternoon to evening shifts (14:30–21:30) supporting individuals in social visits or leisure activities.
  • Extended shifts for those who prefer to consolidate their working hours, particularly during weekends or school breaks.
