In this role, you will oversee a team of care practitioners and be actively involved in the management of daily service operations in your designated area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional looking to advance their career or for those currently in a similar position seeking a new challenge. Here are some compelling reasons to consider this role.

About The Richmond Fellowship Scotland: We are committed to making a significant impact in the lives of individuals we support. Serving over 2800 people, we recognize that each person is unique, and every support role presents a different opportunity to positively influence someone's life.

Role Responsibilities: As a Lead Care Support Specialist, your responsibilities may include:

  • Managing and mentoring a team of care staff.
  • Identifying training needs and facilitating development.
  • Leading the creation of support plans.
  • Overseeing rota management and participating in review meetings.
  • Providing practical assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle for the individuals you support.

This position is full-time and requires drivers with access to their own vehicles due to travel demands. Senior staff members are expected to participate in on-call duties on a rotational basis and assist with covering shifts as needed.

Qualifications: To be considered for this exceptional opportunity, candidates should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting individuals in a care setting.
  • Experience in leading teams within a social care environment.
  • Completed or currently pursuing SVQ Level 3.
  • A full driving license and access to a personal vehicle.

Key Benefits:

  • Access to the TRFS rewards scheme, offering cash-back and discounts at various retailers.
  • Refer a Friend scheme with a £150 bonus.
  • TRFS is an Equal Opportunity employer, committed to inclusivity and a Living Wage Accredited Employer.
  • Recognized with Gold by Investors in People.

All successful applicants will receive a conditional offer, subject to satisfactory references and PVG checks. A prior conviction will not automatically disqualify you from employment in this sector.

The successful candidate must also register with SSSC as a Supervisor in Care at Home and Housing Support Services upon starting the position.
