At Sense Scotland, we are committed to empowering individuals with complex needs, enabling them to live independently in their own homes and engage actively within their communities. Our collaborative approach focuses on supporting individuals to lead fulfilling lives, enhancing their well-being, and promoting their independence.

Our mission is to assist those we support in improving their quality of life, acquiring essential life skills, and participating in activities that matter to them. We encourage social connections and family engagement, ensuring that each person can pursue their interests and hobbies.

Joining Sense Scotland means becoming part of a charitable organization that values its employees as much as the individuals we assist. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, fostering a supportive team environment where everyone works together to achieve the best outcomes.

Our teams operate around the clock, providing support in various locations. As a Relief Support Practitioner, you will have the flexibility to choose shifts that align with your availability and preferences. You can work across multiple locations or select a home that is conveniently located for you.

We encourage you to communicate your availability in advance, allowing our management team to consider your strengths and interests when scheduling. Even short shifts can significantly impact the lives of those we support. Examples of available shifts include:

  • Morning shifts (07:30–14:30) assisting individuals with daily activities such as shopping or dining out.
  • Afternoon to evening shifts (14:30–21:30) providing companionship during social visits or leisure activities.
  • Extended shifts for those who prefer to consolidate their working hours, particularly during weekends or school holidays.
