Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Fellow in Gynaecology to join our team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a high level of clinical expertise in Gynaecology, with a focus on patient care and safety.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Trust and national guidelines.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans for patients with complex Gynaecological conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care, including surgical and non-surgical interventions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers, providing empathetic and compassionate care.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior staff, including medical students and junior doctors.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Hold or have held a National Training Number in Gynaecology.
  • MB BS (or equivalent) degree.
  • MRCOG (or equivalent) qualification.
  • GMC registration.
  • Evidence of a commitment to research and quality improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • CRiSP Course (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Experience of working in a clinical team, with a focus on patient care and safety.
  • Ability to audit and critically appraise clinical care delivery by a multidisciplinary team.
  • Interest in teaching and education, with a focus on postgraduate and undergraduate teaching.
Personal Qualities
  • Good organisational ability and a willingness to be flexible in accordance with the demands of team working.
  • Computer literacy and experience of working in a clinical team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
