Residential Care Team Lead

Main Responsibilities

  1. Ensure the safety and well-being of service users and the service by collaborating with staff on shift and modeling best practices.
  2. Facilitate the development of life skills and coping mechanisms for service users.
  3. Develop and share care documentation with service users and the staff team.
  4. Report incidents and provide guidance when necessary.
  5. Supervise and induct support worker staff.
  6. Manage medication orders and monitoring.
  7. Ensure completion of daily paperwork and checks, adhering to all regulations.
  8. Perform registered manager duties in the absence of the registered manager.
  9. Conduct petty cash and residents' money checks.
  10. Monitor funding hours via weekly returns.
  11. Liaise with family members and external professionals.
  12. Oversee the health and safety of the service.
  13. Complete weekly audits on specific areas such as infection control, COVID-19, daily documents, medication, first aid, and COSHH.

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Compensation: £12.50-£13.50 per hour

Expected Hours: 36 per week

Ability to Commute/Relocate:

  • Basingstoke: ability to commute or plan to relocate before starting work

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

  • Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
  • Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)

Work Location: In person
