Salary: GBP40,000 per annum + pension + 25 days annual leave per mile

Role Overview:
As an IT Field Engineer, you will be the primary expert ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure across various repair centres in the South West region. This role encompasses hands-on troubleshooting, system maintenance, and occasional project work at multiple locations throughout the week. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining efficient technology systems, enabling our teams to deliver exceptional service. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to customer service are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Maintenance: Ensure optimal operation of IT systems, meeting service level agreements and enhancing colleague satisfaction.
  • Technical Support: Diagnose, repair, and install IT systems, providing expert assistance across various technologies.
  • Project Collaboration: Collaborate with the broader team on larger IT installations and service projects.
  • First-Time Fixes: Achieve high levels of first-time resolutions through in-depth product knowledge and effective problem-solving.
  • Strategic Implementation: Align daily tasks with the company's strategic objectives, ensuring IT solutions support overall growth.
  • Customer Interaction: Exhibit top-tier organizational and communication skills in every customer-facing situation.
  • Task Execution: Complete tasks efficiently, adhering to company procedures and maintaining a professional image.
  • Issue Resolution: Address colleague queries with professionalism, collaborating with support administration and third parties as necessary.
  • Adaptability: Manage tasks flexibly in a fast-paced environment, with occasional work outside normal hours.
  • Site Audits & Compliance: Conduct site audits and health and safety checks as required, including travel and overnight stays.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: A-Level in technology or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a field engineer, preferably in a fast-paced industry.
  • Customer Service: Strong focus on delivering excellent customer service, with experience in industries such as automotive, hospitality, retail, or logistics.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL, PCs, printers, communication equipment, and networking.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint). Knowledge of MS365 and Microsoft Entra is a plus.
  • Licensing: Full driving license and own vehicle - essential.
  • VoIP Experience: Experience with VoIP deployment is advantageous.
  • Task Management: Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong team player, capable of building effective working relationships across various functions.
  • Certifications: Networking and Microsoft qualifications (e.g., MCP, CCIE) are desirable.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with automotive repair systems (Autoflow, Audatex) is an advantage.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the automotive or similar fast-paced industries is highly valued.
