About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Perioperative Care Coordinator to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our perioperative care department, you will play a vital role in supporting the surgical pre-assessment and perioperative medicine teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patients through their pre-operative journey, ensuring seamless transitions and efficient care delivery.
  • Support the administrative needs of the service, including appointment booking, scanning, and telephone calls.
  • Line manage several perioperative care administrators, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
  • Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and support the project manager in administrative developments.
Person Specification
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience, with a good knowledge of administrative work procedures.
  • Experience of administration in a customer-focused environment, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
  • Ability to compose correspondence from fragmented instructions and deal with non-routine and complex problems.
  • Experience of supervisory or office management, with a strong understanding of people management and data analysis.
