Perioperative Care Administration Coordinator

Job Summary
University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced administrative professional to join our Perioperative Care team as a Perioperative Care Administration Coordinator.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the administrative needs of the service, including booking and outgoing appointments, scanning, telephone calls, and training new starters in the department.
They will also be responsible for line managing several perioperative care administrators, conducting appraisals and sickness reviews, and supporting the project manager in administrative developments within the service.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and dynamic team, working within the perioperative care department to support the surgical pre-assessment and perioperative medicine team by co-ordinating patients through their pre-operative journey.
The ideal candidate will have experience of leadership within a team, a background in administration, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. They will also be confident in speaking to a number of stakeholders and have the ability to compose correspondence from fragmented instructions.

- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience, with good knowledge across a range of administrative work procedures, including non-routine elements
- Experience of administration in a customer-focused environment
- Experience in delivering training sessions
- Ability to compose correspondence from fragmented instructions
Desirable
- Previous experience of working in an acute hospital setting
- Competent in the use of ESR and Healthroster
- Supervisory or office management experience
