Perioperative Care Administration Coordinator

Job Summary
University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Care Administration Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our perioperative care department, you will play a vital role in supporting the surgical pre-assessment and perioperative medicine team by coordinating patients through their pre-operative journey.
Main Duties
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the administrative needs of the service, including booking and outgoing appointments, scanning, and telephone calls.
- Line managing several perioperative care administrators and being responsible for their appraisals and sickness reviews.
- Supporting the project manager in administrative developments in the service.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience, with good knowledge across a range of administrative work procedures.
- Experience of administration in a customer-focused environment.
- Experience in delivering training sessions.
- Ability to compose correspondence from fragmented instructions.
- Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems, progress chasing, resource and staff allocation.
