About the Role

We are in search of a dedicated individual to join our Cleaning team as a Cleaner In Charge. This position entails overseeing a cleaning crew within a healthcare environment.

Ideal candidates will thrive in a dynamic setting, work effectively as part of a team, and possess strong communication skills.

Previous experience in cleaning is essential, while supervisory experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Responsibilities will include: daily oversight of cleaning personnel, reporting any issues to management, adhering to safety regulations and best practices, monitoring health and safety standards, training cleaning staff in all cleaning procedures, and performing general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, polishing, and maintaining sanitary facilities.

You will play a crucial role within a large team of Cleaners in Charge and Cleaners across the region, with a strong emphasis on using your initiative to organize your daily tasks to meet site requirements. Necessary protective clothing and personal protective equipment will be supplied as needed.

  • Proven experience in cleaning to established standards
  • Experience in supervising a team on a daily basis
  • Basic knowledge of various cleaning techniques and equipment
  • Awareness of health and safety protocols
  • Strong communication skills at all levels
  • A collaborative team spirit.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this position.
