We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our billing and operations team. As the Head of Billing and Operations, you will be responsible for managing a team of 30 and overseeing the entire billing process, from meter conversion to cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the billing team to ensure efficient and accurate billing processes.
- Refine first-time right billing performance by improving the meters to cash cycle and supporting debt prevention.
- Champion the design and implementation of the end-to-end merchant and billing experience.
- Support various pricing models, billing types, reporting, and billing-related analytics.
- Oversee the billing and coding staff to ensure adherence to billing and coding standards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to billing operational efficiencies.
- Ensure billing is complete, accurate, current, and that revenue is optimized and assured.
- Ensure processes are fully compliant with industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role within management.
- Excellent knowledge and experience in B2B billing, governance, and bill-to-cash performance.
- Extensive knowledge of the energy/ utilities industry in a gas and power supply business in a B2B setting.
- Data-driven, using statistics to report and present.
- Leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams across a range of activities.
- A commercial mindset with a can-do attitude.
- Good customer account management and business development acumen.
Location: Remote work options available, with occasional travel to Nottingham.
Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus bonus.
