About this role

We are seeking a skilled Case Manager to join our team at Christchurch Men's Prison. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals serving sentences as they work through programs aimed at addressing rehabilitation and reintegration needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist, end-to-end management of offenders, including initial assessment, needs identification, case planning, and partnering with external agencies and whānau to support rehabilitation.
  • Build effective relationships with offenders, whānau, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to rehabilitation and reintegration.
  • Develop and implement individualized case plans that address the unique needs and goals of each offender.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of case plans and make adjustments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Effective relationship building and communication skills.
  • A background or qualification in rehabilitative services, psychology, social work, or another related field is desirable, but not essential.
