We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our Day Case Team, Marlowe Ward, as a Coordinator. This role is a key part of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality care to our patients.

This is a 30-hour per week position, working Monday to Friday with a flexible working pattern as per rota. You will be reporting to the Band 7 Day case and Haemodialysis Manager and working closely with the Band 6 In-Charge sister and band 5 registered nurses, as well as band 3 and band 2 HCAs.

As a Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring patient medical notes are available in advance for surgical procedures.
  • Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the team and environment to assist in delivering high-quality comprehensive care.
  • Answering telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner, recording and relaying messages as appropriate.
  • Assisting the day case team in admitting patients onto the computer system and completing the process on time.
  • Adhering to operational/Trust policies and procedures in relation to Health and Safety and Fire.
