About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Play Specialist to join our Outreach Services team at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic and generic play activities for babies, children, and young people, creating meaningful and enjoyable memories in a safe and caring environment.

Main Responsibilities

As a Play Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all children have access to play and planning appropriate activities based on a child's needs
  • Providing assistance, guidance, and leadership to the wider Play Team
  • Supporting the team by overseeing all activities, promoting and maintaining good teamwork, and working alongside the Family Support Lead on employee relation activities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Fully Qualified Health Play Specialist & registered with HPSET
  • Experience working with babies and children of all ages
  • Experience with babies and children with complex needs
  • Ability to travel around the East Midlands and get to rural locations
