What does this position entail?

This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead a new store in the Metro Centre Gateshead, where you will be accountable for ensuring the store meets its targets and achieves results through operational and commercial excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting long-term objectives for the store
  • Overseeing overall store operations and performance
  • Guiding the store team to provide an exceptional customer experience through personalized service
  • Managing inventory levels and making critical decisions regarding stock control to minimize losses
  • Ensuring that promotional activities, sales, and merchandising directives are executed to the highest standards
  • Taking charge of recruitment and talent retention
  • Conducting regular performance assessments and probation reviews

  • Previous experience in retail management within a similar-sized operation
  • A passion for premium or luxury products is beneficial, but we welcome all retail backgrounds
  • A proven history of enhancing overall business performance
  • A demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service through your team
  • Strong visual merchandising and commercial product management skills
  • Ability to navigate between customer service, operational, technical, and visual aspects of the role
  • Confidence in high-pressure situations and thriving in a dynamic retail environment
  • Self-motivated, focused, and driven to achieve both team and individual objectives
  • Excellent people management skills to inspire your team
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
