Job Title: Residential Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Barnardo's. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable children and young people in our residential home.

About the Role:

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing individualized support and care to children and young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contributing to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Documenting information accurately and maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Ensuring the implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve this within the required timeframe.
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Commitment to the values and principles of Barnardo's.
