Residential Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Additional Resources. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to young people in our residential care settings.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist children and young people in residential care, offering emotional and practical support while creating a safe and positive environment. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist young people with daily living tasks, such as personal care and household chores
- Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, promoting their emotional well-being and resilience
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of the residential care team
- Previous experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role
- Background working with children or young people in challenging environments
- Strong behavioural management skills, with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen actively and respond with empathy
