Job Summary

This role is responsible for supporting the Quality, Safety Assurance & Governance (QSA&G) team in the successful execution of internal assurance and continuous improvement activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Internal Assurance Manual, coordinating and leading a full internal assurance audit schedule, and raising and progressing Internal Quality Occurrence Reports and Observations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Internal Assurance Primary Role
    • Management of the Internal Assurance Manual
    • Coordination and leadership of a full internal assurance audit schedule
    • Raising and progression of Internal Quality Occurrence Reports and Observations
    • Coordination, update, and maintenance of MODSAP Internal audit schedules
    • Organization of review cycle for the MODSAP Business Guidance document set
    • Representation of MODSAP at Quarterly QACG Policy meetings
    • Maintenance and update of QA policy documents and QA reporting within MODSAP
    • Coordination of training across the QSA&G and iGQAR teams
  2. Deputising for the Business Improvement Manager Secondary Role
    • Assistance to the focal point within MODSAP for Business and Continuous Improvement
    • Engagement with staff and Line Managers to assist with the realisation of business improvement benefits
  3. Line Management
    • Responsibility for the direct Line Management duties for Corporate Support Team-6 E1
    • Management of staff in accordance with the MODGov Line managers, Wellbeing, HR Policy, Development and Inclusion checklist
    • Ensuring all MODSAP Line Management, governance, and reporting checks are carried out
  4. Additional
    • Providing clear and concise reports to identified stakeholders
    • Developing and maintaining trusted working relationships with MODSAP colleagues
    • Providing resilience and support to other MODSAP QSA&G team roles
Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience, skills, and ability to manage an internal assurance system
  • Understanding and maintenance of an organisational Quality Management System
  • Willingness to travel across the MODSAP estate in the UK and Saudi Arabia
  • Basic IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, and spreadsheets
  • Clear understanding of the advantages of Continuous Improvement and fostering a positive Safety & Quality culture
