Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute audit plans through participation in risk assessment and ongoing monitoring activities.
- Lead a team of Audit Professionals in executing audit plans that identify and assess risk, evaluate internal controls, identify improvement opportunities, and work with business partners to ensure appropriate risk mitigation.
- Motivate staff by communicating the vision, establishing goals, and measuring performance.
- Apply knowledge of audit methodology and drive adherence to guidance to ensure quality.
- Coordinate with the audit client on the audit's approach, objectives, and scope.
- Evaluate audit evidence quality and sufficiency in support of findings.
- Leverage data and visualizations to report on results and craft compelling messages.
- Draft a concise and insightful audit report, including alignment with management on appropriateness of action plans and timelines.
Requirements
- University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or other related field.
- A recognized accounting or audit designation (e.g., CA, CMA, CIA).
- Experience working in Financial Institutions, specifically Investments, Risk, or Compliance functions would be an asset.
