About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Optimization Specialist to join our team at Aston Martin F1 Team. As a key member of our Performance Engineering group, you will play a critical role in optimizing the performance of our racing cars and drivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Analysis and Optimization: Conduct in-depth analysis of racing car performance and develop strategies to optimize speed, handling, and overall performance.
  • Development of New Analysis Methodologies: Collaborate with our team to develop new tools and techniques for analyzing and optimizing racing car performance.
  • Event Support: Attend all F1 Evolution events at the track and provide support to our drivers and engineers during DILSim sessions.
  • Pre- and Post-Event Reporting: Produce detailed reports on car performance before and after each event, highlighting key areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our team of engineers and drivers to identify and address performance issues, and communicate effectively to ensure seamless collaboration.
Requirements
  • Strong Mechanical or Automotive Engineering Background: A degree in mechanical or automotive engineering, or a related field, is essential for this role.
  • Experience in Formula One: While not essential, prior experience in Formula One would be beneficial in this role.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions is critical for this position.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for working effectively with our team and drivers.
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency in tools such as MAT Atlas, vTAG, Python, and Excel/VBA is required for this role.
